THOUGHTS OF SHE

LOVE

A fine collection of poetry that follows the path of love.

A book of poetry that follows love, from the first moments that a couple sees each other and begin their dance of flirtation, to realizing they are in love with one another. As love often does, the book also captures the pain and sorrow of dying love, lost commitment, and heartbreak.

Yet, as we love, we grow, and we soon remember the promise of love, no matter how bittersweet, and we rebuild our selves, strengthen our resolve, and through untold wisdom of the heart and spirit, we once again seek out love, finding that even though love can be one of the most painful of all of life’s experiences, we are willing to love again.

A WORD BY THE AUTHOR

To gaze at the pride we find within ourselves is to gaze upon that part of the self that has been created for the purpose of self-defense.

That is, one who feels prideful has worked to discover a good, righteous, or socially acceptable way to think, behave, or speak. We then adopt the mask that is most efficient, most in line with the desired making of an impression on others. It is as though a gardener places a wall several feet high around a garden, certainly more than the garden needs for protection, and often preventing the sun from shining in.

The final goal of all of any true spiritual paths is to have the necessary humility and a willingness to surrender the clay from which we have been molded, the pride, the arrogance, the unworthiness, and fear, surrendering all these emotional chains completely to the knowledge, power and peace of knowing that you are love.

In doing this, we are better able to release ourselves from the traditional and painful concept of falling “in and out” of love, and we can do what is most natural; simply love.
